On July 20, 2008, I went to my third MotoGP race at Laguna Seca in Monterey, California since 2006. I’ve had the opportunity to see my favorite racer, Valentino Rossi #46, a.k.a. “The Doctor,” race before. Last year, I got a pit pass and was able to see him “up-close and personal.” However, this time was so completely different.
This time, I saw Rossi, who races for the Fiat Yamaha team, win at one of the hardest and shortest tracks of the entire MotoGP tracks. I also was able to catch him coming down from the podium thanks to the pit pass I got since I learned from last year’s race. I saw him very happy and I was able to take some okay pictures of him and the race with my new Nikon D300 camera.
