On July 03, 2009, I went to my fourth MotoGP race at Laguna Seca in Monterey, California since 2006. I’ve had the opportunity to see my favorite racer, Valentino Rossi #46, a.k.a. “The Doctor,” race before. Once again this year, I got a pit pass and was able to see him “up-close and personal.” However, this time was so completely different.
This time, I saw Rossi’s bike from the front of the garage since the organizers allowed us to go to the front of the track. We were told he was going to come and meet his fans, but the event organizers kept him too busy and by the time he came back, we were told to leave. Maybe next time! I saw him very happy because he placed in second on race day, which I missed. Still, I managed to take another memorable event in that I found my picture on the Yamaha website in the crowd.
